mACE ENGINEERING LOGO

I WAS TASKED TO CREATE A LOGO FOR MACE ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGIES GROUP. THE LOGO HAD TO COMMUNICATE A MODERN DESIGN STYLE WHILE KEEPING CLEAN LINES AND SIMPLE DESIGN.

For the first concept I wanted to play with the idea of using a Mace like the medieval weapon, the design softened all the sharp edges of a mace and turned the design into a 3D diamond. I liked this design and thought it played into the technology aspect of the name.

the next concept focused on using the first letter of ‘mace engineering technologies’ to create the logo. two design were made one in a pixelated style and another in a modern helvetica based text. the style on the right was much cleaner and was PREFERRED. A range of colour pallets were developed with alternate versions with shading included.
